Official Return & Exchange Policy

The Philosophy
At High Priorities, we don’t sell junk. We curate our inventory—from Higher Standards glass to Kind Pen hardware—because we believe in the products. However, we operate in a regulated industry with strict safety requirements. Our return policy is designed to protect the integrity of our inventory and the safety of our customers. We are fair, but we are firm.

1. General Terms & Conditions

  • Receipt Required: No receipt, no return. We need proof of purchase to verify the item came from our controlled inventory.
  • 14-Day Window: All eligible returns or exchanges must be initiated within 14 days of the original purchase date.
  • Store Credit Preferred: Refunds are generally issued as Store Credit. Cash refunds are reserved for exceptional circumstances and are subject to Management approval.
  • Manager’s Discretion: High Priorities reserves the right to deny any return if we suspect abuse of the policy, fraud, or if the product does not meet our return standards.

2. Category-Specific Policies

A. Consumables (The "Chain of Custody" Rule)

Includes: THCa Flower, Pre-Rolls, Edibles, Vapes (Disposable), Concentrates, and Snacks (e.g., Hi-Chew).
  • Policy: ALL SALES FINAL.
  • The "Why": Once a consumable product leaves the shop, the "Chain of Custody" is broken. We cannot guarantee its safety, storage conditions, or purity. For the safety of the community, we never resell returned consumables.
  • Effectiveness Disclaimer: We do not accept returns based on personal preference or "effectiveness" (e.g., "It didn't hit me hard enough"). Bioavailability varies by person. We provide the COAs and the education; the experience is up to the user.

B. Electronic Hardware

Includes: 510 Batteries, Kind Pen devices, Dry Herb Vaporizers, E-Rigs.
  • Policy: Exchange or Store Credit for Manufacturing Defects Only within 14 days.
  • Condition: Must include original packaging and all charging cables/accessories.
  • What is NOT Covered:
    • User Error: Clogged cartridges (this is physics, not a defect), stripped threads from overtightening, or devices dropped/cracked.
    • Normal Wear & Tear: Coils and atomizers are consumable parts and are not covered.
  • The "Pro" Note: Many of our premium brands (like Kind Pen or Dr. Dabber) carry manufacturer warranties that extend beyond our 14-day window. If it’s been more than 14 days, we will help you navigate the manufacturer’s warranty process.

C. Glass & Accessories

Includes: Higher Standards Heavy Duty Beakers, K. Haring Spoons, Silicon Trays, Custom Glass.
  • Policy: Returns accepted ONLY if the item is 100% Unused and Pristine.
  • The "Smell Test": If the glass smells like herb, tobacco, or cleaning chemicals, or if there are water spots, the return is immediately denied. We know what used glass looks like.
  • Breakage: We inspect every piece of glass before it leaves the counter. Once it leaves the store, breakage is the customer's responsibility.

D. Clearance & Sale Items

  • Policy: All Sales Final.

3. Warranty & Defect Log (Internal Use)

For inventory tracking, staff must log any defective hardware returns:

  1. Item Name & SKU: (e.g., Kind Pen Covert 2.0 - SKU 176064700412)
  2. Defect Description: (e.g., "Battery will not hold charge," "Auto-fire mechanism stuck")
  3. Action Taken: (e.g., Exchanged for same unit, Defective unit placed in RTV bin).
